The Data Destruction Auditor is a revolutionary data sanitation system that provides the user with tangible evidence that a device has been securely erased and/or destroyed. Data Destruction Auditor enables the operator to document and verify their secure and certified data sanitation process and create audit-ready reports which can be used as evidence of the data destruction methods.
Data Destruction Auditor logs all essential information relating to the media’s sanitization, including details of the degausser/destroyer used; operator/user details, media serial numbers, date and time, degauss force applied and ultimately whether erasure/destruction was completed. The information logged can then be exported and reports created as evidence of the data destruction, providing an immediate audit trail.
This unparalleled solution is available exclusively across the Verity Systems security product range of state-of-the-art pulse degaussers such as the Crunch 250 HDD/SSD destroyer suitable for the destruction of magnetic media such as hard drives, tapes, cassettes and more.
Key features:
Data Destruction Auditor provides organizations and recycling companies with an accurate history of its data erasure destruction processes, providing peace of mind and physical evidence that a device has been securely erased and/or destroyed. It is simple and easy to use.
The degausser/destroyer hardware comes with a software disk and a USB cable for connecting it to a PC or laptop. Once connected, the operator opens the Data Destruction Auditor software on the PC and can enter details into the Data Destruction Auditor’s report record screen. Details such as company and operator name; degausser model; and information pertaining to the media to be destroyed can be entered manually. Alternatively an optional bar code scanner is available for fast input of information such as media serial numbers. Information relating to the degausser/destroyer hardware will be automatically registered within the Data Destruction Auditor report record screen by clicking the “Find Machine” button on the Data Destruction Auditor screen.
Once all information has been input, clicking on the “Destroy” button on the Data Destruction Auditor’s screen starts the erase/destruction process. Progress is shown on the screen and once complete, the completed process is recorded on screen, confirming the date and time of the successful erasure/destruction. The user can then print an immediate record of the media’s destruction by pressing the print button on screen or export the logs as a CSV file.
